This painting was conceived after reading The Fourth Wing. The central figure is depicted in a moment of contemplation, holding a string of beads that seem to symbolize devotion or prayer. Her long, dark hair cascades elegantly, framed by a radiant golden halo that adds a celestial touch to the composition. The trappings of royalty surround her.  A throne and her crown are left behind. But the dragon at her feet remains nearby. She will sacrifice much for love.
